Double bass pedals: what $199, $350 and $600 get you

The Pearl P532 is the cheapest of the three at $198.99. The P932 runs $350 to $364. The Tama Iron Cobra 900 is $599.99, and it's the only one whose listing mentions a carrying case. We haven't played any of them, so this tells you what each one has, not how it feels.

The three, one at a time

Pearl P532

Dual chain drive at under $200. The two listings we read agree on that, and on the price. Nothing in them mentions a case or the weight.

Pearl P932

The footboard is a long one in the style of Pearl's Demon pedals, and Pearl's own page says it's built for heel-down and heel-up playing. It comes with a regular cam and a removable second cam that speeds up the stroke. Pearl calls its feel-adjusting mechanism the PowerShifter. The price depends on the store by about $14, so look at two.

Tama Iron Cobra 900

Tama's page lists a lot of small parts: an adjustable steel return spring, a beater holder that sets the angle on its own, and a rocker cam with a bearing in it. It's the only one of the three whose listing says a protective case comes in the box. If you carry the pedals to gigs, the case saves you a separate purchase, so count it in the price. Tama also lists a pedal anchor, a stabilizer meant to stop a left-footed pedal from walking across the floor. Whether it works, we can't say.

If you play an electronic kit at home

A double pedal doubles the number of beater strikes on your kick pad. Roland names the beater hitting the pad as one of the main sources of floor noise. If that's your setup, read the quiet drums guide first.
